The participation in the fair was positive, we had many visitors who came to us, especially international visitors, from England, Germany, Canada and Spain. We collected several contacts that we will work on to achieve new partnerships for the future. I think the participation in the fair was very positive.

WHY PORTUGAL?

Portuguese footwear and leather exports soar in April as the industry continues its path of recovery and is already on positive ground. This year, exports grew by 121% when compared to the same month of the previous year. In the accumulated result for the year, Portugal exported 22 million pairs, with a total value of 497 million euros, an increase of 4.3%. Portugal currently exports more than 95% of its leather production to 163 countries across the five continents. In the first four months of the year, Europe was the main driver of the dynamic of the sector, with a growth of 6.8% to 413 million euros. Noteworthy growth in Germany (up by 40% to 123 million euros) and the Netherlands (up by 8.3% to 70 million euros). Portugal ranks second in leather manufacturing in the European Union, with all products manufactured in small and medium-sized enterprises. Portugal is the country with the largest market share, giving direction to the leather & footwear fashion industry after Italy.

GETTING FROM THE AIRPORT TO EXPONOR

To get from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto to EXPONOR you have several possibilities at your disposal, and the times vary according to the means to be used.

DRIVING

From Porto airport to EXPONOR by car, the fastest way is to take the A28 motorway. The journey takes less than 10 minutes, but tolls are paid. Another alternative will be on the N107, where the journey does not take 15 minutes and there are no tolls to pay.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT

You have a wide network of possibilities at your disposal.

By BUS

The bus ride takes around 20 minutes. You should take the 601 bus at the airport. This route passes through the city center of Porto, Boavista, Casa da Música and Cordoaria, next to Clérigos. By TAXI OR RIDE-HAILING

You will easily find taxis and ride-hailing services such as UBER, BOLD and others at the airport that will take you to EXPONOR at any time.

There is no metro or train connecting the airport to EXPONOR.

GOING FROM PORTO TO EXPONOR

You have at your disposal several possibilities to travel from Porto to EXPONOR, and the times vary depending on the means used and the place from which your trip departs.

DRIVING
